  • The Chair Professorship instituted by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is expected to undertake research and training in Monetary and Financial Economics, Banking and real sector issues and related areas of interest to RBI.  In addition, the candidate is expected to assist ASCI in its Training, Research and Consultancy activities.
  • The applicant should have a Post-graduate Degree in Economics / Finance from an Institution of repute. Applicants with expertise / specialisation in Banking / Monetary Economics / Macro-economics / Financial Economics / Financial markets / Risk management / Financial sector regulation etc., will be preferred.  A demonstrated ability to conduct and direct research and publish would be a requirement.  Post-PhD experience of 10 years in teaching and research in an academic institution or a research/consulting organisation will be an added advantage. Prior work experience of 10 years at senior level in the banking sector would be welcome.

    The activities of the Chair would be subject to an Annual Review by RBI.

    Preferred age is around 50 years
2. Environment Area

Qualifications: Ph.D / M.Tech in Environmental Management from a reputed Institute with minimum 5 years experience in handling projects and teaching. Candidates should be good in communicating with clients and preparing reports.  

Required Experience in areas of:


  • Hazardous  waste management - Remediation technologies
  • Environmental Impact Assessment 
  • Environmental applications of Remote sensing and GIS technologies
Job Description:

  • Conduct programs and deliver sessions in Environment related programs 
  • Develop project proposals and work related to above mentioned areas
  • Conduct field visits for on –going / new projects if required

Age: Between 35 – 45 years

The Role of Areas

Each area is engaged in all the three activities, viz., training, research and management studies. Therefore, the Faculty Members are expected to contribute to all the three activities.

Conditions for Candidates who are awaiting final semester result at the time of applying for the job now:

Procedure for selection:

The candidates should appear for an ONLINE Objective Type Examination. The Online Examination is proposed to be held at Chennai, Madurai, Salem, Tirunelveli, Trichy and Thoothukudi centres and surrounding areas depending on the availability of accommodation in the venue. The date, Time and Venue of Online Test will be communicated to the eligible candidates individually by post. The Online Examination will be of objective type. After evaluation, on the basis of the Online Test, candidates will be short listed for a personal interview in the order of merit.

Training / Probationary Period:

Selected candidates will be placed at a Branch / Office of the Bank anywhere in India on Probation for a period of one year. They will be fixed in the following pay scale with applicable DA.

The emoluments during the period of probation will be Basic Pay of Rs. 8000/- plus applicable DA (At present Rs. 6,732/-) etc. The total emoluments at present approximately is Rs. 15,620/- per month.
