Cochin Shipyard Limited, P&A Department, is recruiting 402 Contract Workmen as "Fabrication Assistant", "Outfit Assistant" and "Crane Operators" in various trades, such as—Sheet Metal Worker, Welder, Fitter, Mechanic, Electrician, Carpenter, Painter, Etc. The engagement are on contract basis. Qualification norms and eligibility criteria are as follows —


COCHIN SHIPYARD LTD REQUIRES 402 FABRICATION ASSISTANT, OUTFIT ASST., & CRANE OPERATORS. LAST DATE — 15/12/2013

FABRICATION ASSISTANT —
Sheet Metal Worker: 141 Nos.
Welder: 45 Nos.

OUTFIT ASSISTANT —
Fitter Pipe (Plumber): 111 Nos.
Diesel Mechanic: 29 Nos.
Instrument Mechanic: 11 Nos.
Electrician: 27 Nos.
Electronic Mechanic: 06 Nos.
Shipwright Wood (Carpenter): 4 Nos.
Painter: 24 Nos.

CRANE OPERATORS —
EOT Cranes Operator: 4 Nos.

Educational Qualification: —
For Fabrication Asst. and Outfit Asst.: Matriculation (Class 10) pass and must have ITI (NTC) in the respective trade and National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC). Experience— Minimum 03yrs post qualification (NAC) experience including training in a shipyard or Engineering company OR 02 years work experience in a shipyard or in any Engineering company.

For Crane Operator: Matriculation (Class 10) pass and ITI (NTC) in the trade of Electrician/ Electronic Mechanic and National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC). Experience— Minimum 03yrs post qualification (NAC) experience including training in operating EOT cranes in a Shipyard or in any Engineering Company.

Consolidated Pay: Rs.14000/- per month plus compensation for extra hours of work.

Age Limit: Candidates shall not exceed 35 years as on 30/11/2013. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST - 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others - As per norms.

The engagement to the above said posts are on contract basis for the IAC and FPV Projects of Cochin Shipyard Ltd. The contract period will be of 02 years.

Candidates' Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Walk-in-Interview and Practical test which will be conducted at Cochin Shipyard Indoor Court, Thevara, tentatively from 16/12/2013 to 21/12/2013. 
Exact date and venue will be intimated to the eligible candidates through SMS/Email in due course.

Compensation: Rs.21,690/- per month plus other allowances as per norms.

Upper age limit (for all posts): Maximum 33 years as on 01/11/2013. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST - 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others - As per norms.

The candidates will be engaged on Fixed Tenure Basis for a maximum period of two years for Electronics Division at Bangalore or anywhere at their Project Sites.
