West Bengal Staff Selection Commission is inviting application for recruitment of 1131 Sub-Inspector in the Sub-ordinate Food & Supplies Service (Grade - III) under the Food & Supplies Department, Govt. of West Bengal. The selection of the candidates will be through Written Test followed by Personality Test. Madhyamik pass boys and girls may apply. Educational Qualification (Minimum): Madhyamik Examination pass and shall have ability to read, write and speak in Bengal/ Nepali.
Candidates must possess sound health, to undertake extensive tours in rural areas of West Bengal.

Age Limit: Not below 18 years and not more than 40 years as on 01.01.2014. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST - 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others - As per norms.

Pay Scale: Rs. 5400—25200/- per month. Starting salary will be Rs.6240 and Grade Pay: Rs.2600/-

Candidates' Selection:
Recruitment will be made on the basis of Written Test followed by Personality Test to be conducted by the West Bengal Staff Selection Commission. Candidates shortlisted on the basis of marks obtained in the Written Test will only be called for verification of testimonials and Personality Test. Final Merit list / Rank list will be prepared on the basis of aggregate marks of Written Test and Personality Test.

Written Test will be of 100 marks. There will be a total 150 Multiple Choice Objective Type Questions  (General Studies – 50 Marks and Arithmetic – 50 Marks) and will tentatively held on 22nd June,2014 (Sunday)
Personality Test will be of 20 marks. 
The Commission will arrange for verification of testimonials and Personality Test of the shortlisted Candidates tentatively in the month of August - September, 2014.

Examination Fees with Processing Fees:
General and Backward Class shall pay Examination fees of Rs. 200/- and Processing fees of Rs. 20/- (Total amount - Rs. 220/-) only.
Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe / Persons with Disabilities (40% and above only) shall pay Processing fees of Rs. 20/- only 
N.B: SC / ST / BC- A / BC- B CANDIDATES OF OTHER STATES WILL BE TREATED AS GENERAL CANDIDATES. 

Payment of Examination fees and Processing fees can be made online through payment gateway using Debit Cards / Credits Cards / Net banking of any bank. An amount of Rs. 5/- only will be charged by the concerned agency as "Service Charge" for availing Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking facility.

In case of submission of applications offline, the amount of examination fees and / or processing fees must be deposited in any of the post offices having e-payment facility.  The concerned post office will give a receipt against deposit of examination fees and / or processing fees, which must be pasted at the space provided for affixing the receipt in the application form 

How to Apply: Interested and eligible candidates may submit their Application form through Online mode, by Post or through Tathya Mitra Kendras on or before 14/03/2014 (4PM)

Online Application Mode: Candidates will be able to submit application through Commission's website www.wbssc.gov.in (See live URL given below) by filling up their basic information including scanned photograph and signature.
On successful submission of the application an auto generated receipt with Registration Number will be generated. Candidates shall print-out it or save it for future correspondence.
DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT TO THE COMMISSION.

Offline Application Mode: To apply offline, candidates may print-out the prescribed application format from the website of wbssc (See PDF file given below). During downloading of each Application form, a unique Number with bar code will appear in the form which is very important, therefore do not use Xerox or copied application from someone else's.

The filled up application form may be sent by post (preferably by Registered or Speed Post) addressed to the "SECRETARY-CUM-CONTROLLER OF EXAMINATIONS, WEST BENGAL STAFF SELECTION COMMISSION, Mayukh Bhaban, Salt Lake, Kolkata - 700091" superscribing on the envelop the NAME OF THE RECRUITMENT and the NAME OF THE POST applied for. The same should reach this office positively within the last date and time of submission of application (i.e. 14/03/2014). 
The filled up application forms may also be submitted personally in the drop box to be kept at the enquiry counter of the Commission's office at Mayukh Bhavan (Ground floor), Salt Lake, Kolkata-700091, during office hours within last date.

Candidates shall not submit any documents along with application. Only short-listed candidates shall have to produce all relevant supporting documents, in original, for verification before their personality test.

The West Bengal Madrasah Service Commission (WBMSC) is going to conduct 6th State Level Selection Test-TET,2013 (6th SLST) which is tentatively scheduled on 9th March,2014 for preparing panel of Assistant Teachers and Under Graduate Teachers. Advertisement No. MSC-04. Citizens of India may apply for a single subject in Undergraduate or in Pass or in Hons. /PG Category in Madrasah in prescribed form available from the designated branches of United Bank of India. 1. Posts meant for Arabic. Educational Qualification —
— i) Fazil held from 1993 onwards of West Bengal Board of Madrasah Education or M.M. prior to 1998*. (ii) Knowledge in Islamic Studies and Culture.
(ii) 50% marks or above in Higher Secondary or equivalent examination.
2. Posts meant for General Subjects. Educational Qualification —
— (i) Higher Secondary from the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or equivalent.
(ii) 50% marks or above in Higher Secondary or equivalent examination.
Desirable for both Arabic and General subjects: Junior Basic Training or any Training recognized by the State Govt. as equivalent to Junior Basic Training from a Teachers' Training Institution duly recognized by the NCTE in the relevant academic session AND Knowledge in Islamic Studies and Culture.


Age Limit:
Minimum 20 years and maximum 40 years as on 01/01/2013. Upper age relaxation is as per Govt. norms. See the PDF file given below.

Tentative Examination Date (TET) : 9th March,2014
Note : Subjective Examination date will be announced later on.

All questions in "TET" will be of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), each carrying one mark, with four alternatives out of which one answer will be correct. There will be no negative marking.
Candidates must choose either Language BENGALI & ENGLISH OR Language URDU & ENGLISH

Examination Fee: Application Form & Brochure: Rs. 300/- for General candidates, for Physically Handicapped Rs. 100/- and Rs.1000/- for general in-service teachers who avail the relaxation of age.
