About Intelligence Bureau

Intelligence Bureau is India's internal intelligence agency which works under Ministry of Home Affairs. It was established in 1887 during the British rule in India. So it is called one of the oldest intelligence agencies in the world. The Intelligence Bureau is headed by Director who is normally a class 1 (Gazetted) officer.   Subsidiary Intelligence Bureaus (SIBs) are also there which are headed by officers of the rank of Joint Director or above, but smaller SIBs are also sometimes headed by Deputy Directors. Intelligence Bureau under Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India released employment notification inviting online applications from interested and eligible candidates for the appointment of Assistant Central Intelligence Officer – Grade II/Tech and Assistant Central Intelligence Officer – Grade II/Wireless Telegraphy vacancies. Assistant Central Intelligence Officer – Grade II/Tech: 19 (GEN-11, OBC-1, SC-5, ST-2)
Pay Scale           : Rs. 9300 - 34800 with Grade Pay 4200
Age Limit            : 18 to 27 years
Eligibility             : B.E / B.Tech. / BCA / B.Sc. / Diploma / PGDCA / M.Sc. (Wireless) in Tele-Communication Engineering.

Assistant Central Intelligence Officer – Grade II/WT: 57 (GEN-12, OBC-20, SC-17, ST-8)
Pay Scale          : Rs. 9300-34800 with Grade Pay 4200
Age Limit            : 18 to 27 years
Eligibility             : B.E / B.Tech. / BCA / B.Sc. (Physics & mathematics or Computers) / Diploma (Radio Engineering) / M.Sc. (Wireless) in Tele-Communication Engineering / PGDCA

Application Process: Interested candidates willing to serve the nation as Assistant Central Intelligence Officers can visit www.mha.nic.in to apply online on or before the closing date 20th February, 2013. After applying online the system generated registration slip print to be taken and kept for future reference.

Selection Process:
Written Test on General Knowledge/Awareness, Reasoning, Comprehension, Physics, Electronics and Mathematics etc. Test duration will be 1 hour and 40 minutes and the question paper is in objective type multiple choice answers.
