ABSTRACT
A simple sensitive and precise high performance liquid chromatographic method for the analysis of metronidazole and Norfloxacin has been validated and used for the developed, validated and used for the determination of compound in commercial pharmaceutical products. The compound were well separated on a on hypersil BDS C-18,250×4mm,5µg reversed phase column by use of a mobile phase consisting of mixed phosphate buffers (K2HPO4,KH2PO4)(Ph:6.5) Acetonitrile (55:45 v/v ) at a few rate of 1.0ml min-1 with detection wavelength at 275nm.the linearity range were 5 to 30µg/ml for metronidazole and 0.4-2.4µg/ml for  Norfloxacin  the recovery amount was more than 99%the high suitability of the method for determination of metronidazole and Norfloxacin in pharmaceutical dose form.

Abstract:
Ayurvastra refers to herbal clothes.  It is made by embedding essential oils and herbs into textiles. A wide range of herbs can be used for this process like Chocolate,Tulsi, Brier rose, Indigo, Red Riding Hood (mix of spices) etc. Such textiles have their applications in providing medicinal value and aroma to the garment. Ayurvastra (also marketed as cosmetotextiles on a broad term) has been used for treating enumerable range of diseases such as diabetes, arthritis, skin infections, hyper tension, hay fever etc.Results by using sensorial evaluations showed that performance of such garments lasts for more than 30 days.

ABSTRACT
Thalidomide, removed from clinical use because of severe teratogenicity, is back. In a comeback that has proceeded with remarkable speed, the drug that adversely affected more than 10,000 infants just over four decades ago now seems to be a lifesaver for patients with advanced plasma cell malignancies. Thalidomide and its immunomodulatory (IMiDs) analogs (lenalidomide, CC-4047, ACTIMID) are a novel class of compounds with numerous effects on the body’s immune system, some of which are thought to mediate the anticancer and anti- inflammatory results observed in humans. Thalidomide is currently being used experimentally to treat various cancers and inflammatory diseases. Immunomodulatory activities along with anti-angiogenic, anti-proliferative,and pro-apoptotic properties are thought to mediate the IMiDs’antitumor responses observed in relapsed and refractory multiple myeloma and some solid tumor cancers. This has led to their use in various oncology clinical trials.
A review is presented of the history of thalidomide and its analogues properties with an emphasis on applications in malignant disease.
