The project’s creators, including urban explorer and author Julia Solis and Laughing Squid partner John Law, are raising funds for the museum on Kickstarter. The museum is projected to open in summer 2015. Our museum is inspired by classic cabinets of curiosity, which were collections of strange and wonderful ephemera from the fields of natural history, anatomy, mineralogy and folklore. We are working with sculptors, musicians, photographers, costumers and writers to create a wonder chamber stuffed with objects of mystery and fascination, to encourage new explorations of what these kinds of artifacts mean today. photo via Seafoam Palace Read in browser » By Brian Heater on Jul 18, 2014 01:39 pm One Fast Cat is an large hamster wheel-like treadmill designed to help cats exercise and stave off boredom indoors. The Missions are specifically designed to resemble the boots used by Armstrong and Aldrin — which were made from a silicon rubber designed by GE — during their time on the Moon. The shoes include components made from lightweight carbon as well as a hydrophobic coating. 100 pairs are scheduled to go on sale at JackThreads on Sunday, July 20th, at the exact time the Apollo 11 lunar module arrived at the Moon.
