The arachnids have sensors on their legs capable of detecting specific vibrations that help them pinpoint the spot where an insect is struggling to free itself.
The spiders spend time fine tuning the different strands for easier detection and will even pluck them, in order to locate prey once it has stopped moving. |

The billboard, bearing the tag “Clean River Soon,” is made of vetiver, a type of grass that is used for treating wastewater. Shokubutsu Hana estimates the billboard cleans between 2,000 and 8,000 gallons of water per day.
