Railway Recruitment Cell – South Eastern Railway is recruiting 3136 Pointsman-B, Trackman, Helper-II and Safaiwala for various Divisions, Workshop and Offices of South Eastern Railway. Educational Qualification: The candidates should be minimum 10th Pass OR ITI or equivalent. Candidates awaiting result or final examination are not eligible to apply. 

Age Limit: Between 18yrs to 33yrs as on 01-01-2014. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST - 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others - As per norms.

Application Fee: Rs.100/- is to be paid in the form of Crossed Demand Draft or Indian Postal Order drawn in favour of – FA&CAO, South Eastern Railway, 11 Garden Reach Road, Kolkata—700043  and payable at – Kolkata.
NO APPLICATION FEE FOR SC/ST/ WOMEN CANDIDATES/ MINORITY COMMUNITIES, PWD, EX-SERVICEMAN AND ECONOMICALLY BACKWARD CLASSES. 

Candidates' Selection: Selection will be based on the performance of the eligible candidates in written examination, Physical Efficiency Test(PET) followed by original documents verification on the same venue and date. For PET, candidates qualified in the written examination, will be called for as per merit to a limited extent as per the guideline.

Physical Efficiency Test will be of qualifying nature only and will consist the following —
For Male candidates — Run for a distance of 1000 mtrs in 4minute and 15seconds.
For Female candidates — Run for a distance of 400 mtrs in 3minutes and 10seconds.
Date and venue of Written Examination will be intimated to the eligible candidates through Call letters in due course.

Educational Qualification —
For all Industrial Establishment posts (except LDC): Candidates must have passed Matriculation or equivalent and must hold NCTVT Certificate in the relevant trade failing which ITI or equivalent Diploma / Certificate holder (On unavailability of NCTVT certificate holders, ITI or equivalent Diploma/ Certificate holders will be considered). Candidates with Engineering Degree or Engineering Diploma are not eligible to apply.

For Lower Division Clerk (LDC): Class 12 pass or equivalent and must have Typing speed of 35 words per minute in English OR 30 words per minute in Hindi on computer.

Age Limit: Candidates must be between 18yrs to 32 yrs (18yrs to 27yrs in case of LDC post only) as on last date of the online application. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST - 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others - As per norms.
