Educational Qualification: —
For Operator-cum-Technician (Trainee): Matriculation with 03 yrs fulltime Diploma in relevant Engineering discipline, i.e. Metallurgy/ Mechanical/ Electrical/Instrumentation/ Electronics/ Chemical.
For Attendant-cum-Technician (Trainee): Matriculation with full time ITI in relevant trades, i.e. Fitter/ Electrician/ Welder/ Machinist/ Electronics/ Diesel Mechanic.

Age Limit: Between 18yrs to 28yrs as on 01-10-2013. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST - 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others - As per norms.

Physical Standard of the candidates —
Male candidates: Height—155cms; Weight—45kgs, Chest (unexpanded/ expanded) —75/79cms.
Female Candidates: Height—143 cms; Weight—35kgs, Chest (unexpanded/ expanded) —70/ 73cms.
Eyesight (for all): 6/12 with or without glass. Candidates must not be color blindness.

Candidates selected for the vacancies will be initially join as a Trainee for 02 years on consolidated pay. On successful completion of training, they will be placed in the scale of pay Rs.9160 —13150 and Rs.8630 —12080 for Operator-cum-Technician and Attendant-cum-Technician respectively.

Candidates' Selection: Candidates will be selected through Written Test in Hindi/ English followed by Interview.
Test centres will be at following cities – Rourkela, Sambalpur, Bhubaneswar and Cuttack.

Application Fee/ Processing Fee: —
Rs.250/- for the post of Operator-cum-Technician and Rs.150/- for Attendant-cum-Technician.
Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD/ESM category will be required to pay processing fee of Rs.50/- for the post of Operator-cum-Technician (Trainee) / Attendant-cum-Technician (Trainee).
In addition to above fee, candidates will require to pay an amount of Rs.20/ as Bank Charges.

Qualification: Madhyamik or equivalent AND 02 years duration ITI Trade Certificate in the trades of Wireman or Electrician.
Gross Salary: Rs.18600/- (approx)
Age limit: between 18yrs to 27yrs as on 01-01-2013.

For the post of ITI Trainee, the candidates selected will be paid a monthly Stipend of Rs.10000/- during the period of training. 

N.B: Degree/ Diploma/ ITI from Open/ Distance Education/ Part Time/ Sandwich course will not be considered.

Upper age relaxation for SC/ST candidates is 05 years, for OBC—3yrs, for PWD—10yrs and for Ex-serviceman and others—as per Govt. norms. (see the below link)

Examination Fee & Processing Fee: —
Rs.250/- is to be deposited as Application Fee through any branches of United Bank of India through a triplicate Challan by General and OBC candidates (PH candidates shall pay Rs.150/- only). The challan can be downloaded from the website of WBSEDCL (See the link below). After depositing the fee, the bank will provide Transaction ID and SOL ID which are required to mention in the online Application form. The bank will keep one copy of the challan and will return two copies of challan to the candidates after proper stamp.
Candidates will have to send the WBSEDCL's copy of Challan along with hard copy of system generated Application form.
NO APPLICATION FEE FOR SC/ ST AND EXEMPTED CATEGORY CANDIDATES.

Candidates' Selection:—
Selection of the candidates will be on the basis of performance in the Written Test and Interview. The Written Test will be held in KOLKATA only.

Consolidated pay during training period is Rs.8600/- and Rs.10000/- for first year and second year respectively. After completion of training period, the pay scale will be Rs.8630—12080 (S-1)
