Public Service Commission, West Bengal (PSC WB) is going to hold the West Bengal Audit and Accounts Service (Special Recruitment) Examination, 2013 for recruitment in the posts of West Bengal Audit and Accounts Service. Recruitment in West Bengal Audit and Accounts Service 
Number of Vacancies: 175 Nos. (General—90; SC—38; ST—10; BC-A—17; BC-B—12; PH—08)
N.B: Reservation for SC/ST/BC is applicable only for SC/ST/BC candidates of West Bengal. Candidates from other States may apply as General candidates. 

Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Commerce of a recognized University or Must be a Member of the Institute of the Chartered Accountants of India or Must be a Member of the Institute of Costs Accountants of India.
Desirable — Basic knowledge in computer operation is desirable. 

Candidates must have ability to read, write and speak in Bengali (not required for recruitment in the case of Nepali speaking candidates from three hill sub-divisions of Darjeeling district, viz. Darjeeling Sadar, Kurseong and Kalimpong).

Age Limit: Minimum 21 years and maximum 32 years as on the 01.01.2013 (i.e. born not earlier than the 2nd January, 1981 and not later than the 1st January, 1992).
The upper age limit is relaxable for S.C. and S.T. candidates of West Bengal by 5 years and for B.C. candidates of West Bengal by 3 years. In the case of Persons with Disabilities (PWD), the upper age limit is relaxable upto 45 years. No relaxation is applicable to S.C./S.T./B.C. candidates of other States as they shall be treated as general candidates.

Pay Scale: Rs.15,600/- to 42,000/- + G.P. Rs. 5,400/-

Public Service Commission of West Bengal is going to conduct the West Bengal Audit and Accounts Service (Special Recruitment) Examination, 2013. The candidates who will qualify this examination will be recruited to the posts of West Bengal Audit and Accounts Service.

The Examination shall comprise of multiple choice objective type questions consisting of two papers, viz. Paper – I & Paper – II and shall be held on a single day. Paper – I shall consist of Group-A and Group-B.
The qualified candidates will be called to appear at the Personality Test.

The Examination will be held at various centres in Kolkata and Siliguri in March, 2014 or thereabout. The Personality Test will be held thereafter in the office of the Public Service Commission, West Bengal, in Kolkata.

Application Fee: Candidates willing to apply for the vacancies must pay Application Fee of Rs.210/- only (only for General and BC candidates). Fee can be paid through online mode during submission of Online Application form by means of Debit/Credit card or net banking.
Fee can be also paid by means of Fee payment Challan, which will generate during online application form submission, through any CBS branches of the State Bank of India.

SC/ST candidates of West Bengal and Persons with disabilities (PWD) having physical disability of 40% and above are not required to pay any fee. NO EXEMPTION OF FEE IS AVAILABLE TO SC/ST/BC CANDIDATES OF OTHER STATES.

Steps: —
Before applying for the post, candidates should register as per "ONE TIME REGISTRATION" scheme through the Official Website of Public Service Commission, West Bengal.
Candidates must follow the 'How to Register' information available in the advt. (See the below given PDF file).
After successful Registration, the Registration ID and Password will be provided to the candidates. Through Registration ID and Password, candidates must login the website and then shall proceed to fill the online application for the above said vacancies/examination.

During submission of online Application form, candidates will require to upload scan copy of passport size image and signature.

After successful submission of Online Application form, candidates must print-out the Registration Slip for future records. There is no need to send any documents/testimonials to the commission at this stage.

Norms and Condition —

  1. Only female candidates, Married/ Widow or Legally divorced, are eligible for the vacancies. 
  2. Candidates must be resident of the village under the said block where vacancies are available. The EPIC/ Voter card or Ration card is to be provided for proof of residence. 
  3. Candidates must be minimum 30 years and maximum 40 as on 01/12/2013. For SC/ST candidates, the age should be between 22 years to 40 years. The verification of age will be made on basis of Date of Birth mentioned in the Madhyamik pass certificate/ admit card. 
  4. Candidates must be minimum Madhyamik pass or equivalent. Candidates with higher qualification may also apply but there will be no additional marks for higher qualification. Selection will be purely on basis of performance in Madhyamik examination. 
  5. Preference will be given to Grade-I and Grade-II SHG members/trained dais/ Link workers.
  6. The eligible candidates will be only called for Interview. The date and venue of Interview will be intimated to the eligible candidates in due course. 
  7. The Date of submission of the Application form along with enclosures is between 23/12/2013 TO 06/01/2014 (4 PM).
