EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: 
For Staff Nurse: Passed General Nursing & Midwifery Certificate course from Nursing Training School recognized by West Bengal Nursing Council & Indian Nursing Council.
Candidates must be registered with Nursing Council of West Bengal  and shall be permanent resident of West Bengal.

For Pharmacist: Higher Secondary passed (10+2) with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/ Biology and a two Year Diploma Course in Pharmacy recognized by the Government of West Bengal and registered as 'A' category Pharmacist under West Bengal Pharmacy Council.

N.B (Applicable for both posts): Candidates shall have the ability to read, write and speak in Bengali (not required in the case of Nepali speaking candidates of the three Hills sub-division of Darjeeling District- viz. Darjeeling sadar, Kalimpong & Kurseong).

PAY SCALE: 
For Staff Nurse: Rs.7100—37600 and Grade Pay: Rs.3600/- plus other allowances as per norms.
For Pharmacist: Rs. 7100—37600 and Grade Pay: Rs.3600/- plus other allowances as per norms.

AGE: 
Staff Nurse: Not less than 18 Years and not more than 35 Years as on 1st. January, 2014.
Pharmacist: Not more than 32 Years as on 1st. January, 2014.
Age limit relaxable by 5 years for SC and ST candidates of West Bengal, by 3 years for BC candidates of West Bengal and up to 45 years of age for persons having physical disabilities for 40% and above.
