Office of the District Judge, Murshidabad, is inviting application form for 10 posts of English Stenographer, Lower Division Clerk, Peon/ Night Guard/ Farash to fill up the vacancies in the Judgeship of Murshidabad, West Bengal. This employment notification is in continuation of earlier notification dated 08.02.2013. Eligible candidates may apply on prescribed application form. Qualification norms and eligibility criteria is given below —



ENGLISH STENOGRAPHER (Group B): 2 Nos. (Gen—1; ST—1)
Qualification: Madhyamik pass or equivalent and minimum speed of 80 wpm in Shorthand and 30 wpm in typewriting from a legal manuscript in English for 10 minutes. Candidates must have Computer Training certificate and a satisfactory fingering speed in Computer.
Pay Scale: Rs.7100—37600, Grade pay: Rs.3900.

LOWER DIVISION CLERK (Group- C): 3 Nos. (Gen-EC—1; SC—1; OBC-B—1)
Qualification: Madhyamik pass or equivalent and a Certificate in computer operation (of duration—minimum 6 months) and ability to type 35 words per minute in English and 25 wpm in Bengali on Computer. Knowledge of typewriting in English is preferable.
Pay Scale: Rs.5400—25200 and Grade pay: Rs.2600/-

PEON/ NIGHT GUARD/ FARASH (Group-D): 5 Nos. (Gen-EC—1; Gen (Sportsman)—1; SC—2; OBC-B (EC)—1)
Qualification: Class VIII pass. Candidates must have sound health, good physique and free from any organic or bodily defect and infirmity.
Pay Scale: Rs.4900—16200 and Grade pay: Rs.1700/-

This recruitment notification is in continuation of earlier Notification published on dated – 08.02.2013 and is for preparation of separate panels to fill up the vacancies, mentioned above, in the Judgeship of Murshidabad, West Bengal.

The engagement to the above posts is purely on temporary basis but likely to be made permanent.

Age Limits: For Group C & D posts — between 18yrs to 40yrs and for Group B (English Stenographer)—between 18yrs to 37yrs as on 01.01.2013. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST—5yrs; OBC—3yrs; PH—10yrs; Ex-serviceman—as per norms.

Selection of the candidates will be through Written Examination, Practical test (as applicable) (Refer the Advt. link given below for details)
Admit card will be sent to the eligible candidates in due course with complete details like date of Written Examination and venue.

How to Apply: Eligible candidates may apply on prescribed application format (given below). The Application form can be neatly typed on plain paper as per format.

Application fee: Application form must be accompanied by Application fee of the below prescribed amount—
For Group B and C posts— Rs.200 (Rs.50 in case of SC/ST candidates)
For Group D post— Rs.100 (Rs.25 in case of SC/ST candidates)

Application fee is to be made in form of Bank Draft or Indian Postal Order drawn in favour of – District Judge, Murshidabad and payable at – Berhampore.

Candidates must enclose attested copies of testimonials (attestation by Gazetted Officer only) in support of qualification, age, caste, computer knowledge and etc. (Refer the Advt. link given below for details)
Candidates must paste two self-signed passport size photograph, one in the Application form and other in Admit Card.
One self-addressed envelope  (25 x 11 cms) with affixed postal stamp of Rs.5/- is to be enclosed with Application form.

Last Date of Application: The application form can be sent to the below address by Ordinary Post/ Speed Post or Registered Post so as to reach on or before 30th April 2013.
Candidate may also submit the Application form in person by dropping it in the drop-Box kept at the office premises— Head Quarter of district Courts at Berhampore.
