Candidates must have passed Matriculation or ITI or equivalent.

Candidate should posses a Master's Degree in the concerned subject from a recognized University with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade with a Second Class in the Bachelor's Degree or Ph.D., D.Sc., D.Litt., M.Phill and M.litt. with at least 50 % marks in Master's Degree with a 2nd class in the Bachelor's Degree. Provided that candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes shall posses a Master's Degree in the concerned subject from a recognized University with at least 50% of marks or its equivalent grade with a 2nd class in the Bachelor's Degree.

Graduation, preferably B Com, in 10+2+3 format through regular classroom course from a UGC recognized university. Graduates from Open University will not be considered. Preference will be given for relevant prior experience in operations/sales/retail credit. Fluency in Oriya besides English is a must.

Degree of Bachelor of Library Science of any University or Institution recognized by the UGC for the purpose of its grants. Note: The prescribed qualification should have been obtained in the order of S.S.L.C., H.Sc., U.G. Degree and B.L.I.S degree.
