Indo Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP) is recruiting 53 Sub Inspector (Staff Nurse), Assistant Sub Inspector (Pharmacist/ Lab Technician/ Radio Grapher) and Head Constable (Midwife).  Both Male and Female candidates may apply. The engagement to the posts is on temporary basis but likely to be permanent. Selected candidates can be posted anywhere in India and even abroad. Qualification norms and brief details is as follows —



1. Sub Inspector (Staff Nurse): 12 Nos. (Gen—4; SC—2; ST—1; OBC—5)
Qualification: 10+2 plus General Nursing and Mid-Wifery course. Candidates must be registered with State or Central Nursing Council.
3yrs of experience as Nurse is desirable. Both Male and Female candidates may apply.
Age Limit: 21yrs to 30yrs.
Pay Scale: Rs.9300—34800 and Grade Pay: Rs.4200/- plus other allowances as per norms.

2. Assistant Sub Inspector (Pharmacist): 18 Nos. (Gen—9; SC—3; ST—1; OBC—5)
Qualification: 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as subject AND Diploma in Pharmacy. Candidates must be registered as a Pharmacist.
Both male and female candidates may apply.
Age Limit: 20yrs to 28yrs.
Pay Scale: Rs.5200—20200 and Grade Pay: Rs.2800/- plus other allowances as per norms.

3. Assistant Sub Inspector (Lab Technician): 8 Nos (Gen—4; SC—1; ST—1; OBC—2)
Qualification: 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and biology as subject plus Diploma in Medical laboratory Technology from a recognized institution
One year experience as Laboratory technician is required.
Both Male and female candidates may apply.
Age Limit: 20yrs to 28yrs.
Pay Scale: Rs.5200—20200 and Grade Pay: Rs.2800/- plus other allowances as per norms.

4. Assistant Sub Inspector (Radio Grapher): 4 Nos. (Gen—1; SC—1; ST—00; OBC—2)
Qualification: 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and biology as subject and Diploma in Radio Diagnose.
One year experience in the field is desirable. Both Male and Female candidates may apply.
Age Limit: 20yrs to 28yrs
Pay Scale: Rs.5200—20200 and Grade Pay: Rs.2800/- plus other allowances as per norms.

5. Head Constable (Midwife): 11 Nos. (Gen—4; SC—2; ST—1; OBC—4)
Qualification: Matriculation passed AND Auxiliary Nursing Midwifery course from a recognized institution and must be registered in State or Central Nursing Council.
Only female candidates may apply.
Age Limit: 18yrs to 25yrs
Pay Scale: Rs.5200—20200 and Grade Pay: Rs.2400/- plus other allowances as per norms.

Upper age relaxation for SC/ST—5yrs; OBC—3yrs; Ex-serviceman and Others—as per norms. Age will be counted as on 30/08/2013.

Physical Standards of the candidates —
For Male Candidates: Height—170cms (162.5 for ST); Chest (unexpanded/ expanded) —80/85cms (77/82cms) and Weight—Corresponding to height.
For Female Candidates: Height—150cms (150cms for ST); Chest—Not applicable; Weight—Corresponding to height.
Vision (For male/ female): Minimum distant vision should 6/6/ and 6/9 of both eyes without any glasses.

The candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and they should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.

The candidates who are found eligible in all respect as per eligibility conditions prescribed for the post applied for will be called for recruitment test. The exact date and venue of recruitment test will be intimated to the eligible candidates through Admit Card.

Selection of the candidates will be through Physical Standard Test, i.e. height and weight measurement, Written Examination, Practical/ Skill Test and Viva voce. There will be no Physical Efficiency Test (PET).  See the Advt. for details.
