MUMBAI: The three day consultation on Community Radio conducted by OneWorld on behalf of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting at Vizag from 2-4 March, This workshop relayed promising signals to educational institutions and other non-profit organizations and encouraged them to set up Community Radio stations in order to empower people at the grassroots level.
Expressing a keen interest in setting up a community radio station, Andhra University vice-chancellor professor G S N Raju said, “Community radio is a great tool for empowering people at the grassroots. All of us must do whatever we can do to promote it and in turn benefit from it.” Read More
