As Jinyoung explains, the infuser has its roots in a Buddhist tale: The story of Buddhist Master Wonhyo drinking water from a skull was the motive for the design of the skull tea infuser. Wonhyo felt extremely thirsty one night, and drank from a human skull full of brackish water. The truth that he had drunk water from a skull remained unchanged after he learned the truth about the water the next morning; therefore, he realized the truth that everything is created by one's own mind. This product reflects the desire to feel Wonhyo's significant meaning of life and have fun while taking a short time to drink tea in daily life. photos via i-Clue Design via designboom Read in browser » By EDW Lynch on Aug 08, 2014 03:20 pm British artist James Ostrer covered himself and some intrepid models with thick layers of candy, frosting, and other junk food in a rather unsettling portrait series.
