By Brian Heater on Aug 08, 2014 11:13 am

Watch the Video

Educator Kevin Wu and animator Brett Underhill discuss the importance of antibiotics in 20th century health care, and how their overuse has led them to become less effective in the latest animation from TED-Ed. The issue is linked to one of Charles Darwin's most known concepts.

Just like any other organisms, bacteria can undergo random mutations. Many of the these mutations are harmful or useless, but every now and then, one comes along that gives its bacteria an edge in survival.

Talk show host Larry King discussed his friendship with Snoop Dogg/Lion, and then Conan O'Brien pulled out a pot brownie for them to split along with sidekick Andy Richter in a clip from a recent episode of Conan.

Is this legal, are we allowed to do it? Our producer is telling us it’s not legal. Go ahead, do it, I don’t care.

The bit unfortunately doesn’t include any of the effects of the edible, though King does begin singing "I'm in Love Again" by Fats Domino moments after ingestion.
