10th Pass + 3 years' approved regular Diploma in Mechanical/ Automobile/Fire with minimum 50% marks; OR 12th Pass (Regular Study) with 50% marks . Desirable - Due weightage shall be given to a candidate possessing any one or more (subject to maximum limit of the following) Computer Science as subject at 12th class level. NCC 'B' Certificate,Relevant experience in aviation/regular/industrial fire service. Basic Fire Fighting Training course from AAI Fire Training Establishment, Sub Fire Officer Course from National Fire Service College, Nagpur.

B.Sc. (Forestry) or equivalent from any University recognized by the Indian Council of Agriculture Research.

Candidates with 5 years commissioned service in the Army/Navy/Airforce or a Police Officer not below the rank of Asst. Superintendent of Police/Dy. Superintendent of Police with 5 years of service/officer of identical rank in Paramilitary forces with 5 years service.

Graduate / Post Graduate degree from a UGC recognized University. Desirable - Officers with rural development background i.e. Agriculture Finance Officer / Rural Development Officer / Agriculture Officers converted to Mainstream of banking / Lead District Managers and Faculty leaders / Faculty members of Training Centres / Colleges with specialization in Rural Development etc. shall be preferred.

Col. & above in Army or a person of equivalent rank in Navy/ Airforce. Or A Police Officer of the rank of DIG or a person of equivalent rank in para military services.
